This year the designated Charity was GOAL. The format for the golf was a 4 Ball AM AM with a Shot-Gun start on Friday 26th June at 1.30 pm. The cost of a team was just 200 euro which included a BBQ steak dinner at the clubhouse. A great range of unusual and very valuable prizes were on offer compliments of JFC and a number of other sponsors.

In addition, there was a Fundraising “Dance for GOAL” at the McWilliam Park Hotel that night where Country and Western Band Stephen Smith & his band, with special guests Ray Lynam and Matt Keane entertained the crowds. The 1st prize for the winners of the JFC Golf Charity event was a trip to St Andrews “The Home of Golf” sponsored by JFC, with return flights sponsored by the generosity of Padraig O’Ceidigh of Aer Arann. At a recent get together to announce this sponsorship, John Concannon, sincerely thanked Aer Arann for this very valuable sponsorship, and paid a special compliment to Padraig O’Ceidigh for his bravery and foresight in setting up Aer Arann as a topflight Air Carrier which is such a great boost to the West of Ireland. |
