For the past number of years, JFC Manufacturing Co Ltd, Tuam, have organised a Charity Golf event, for a number of worthy Charities at Claremorris Golf Club. The event has proved to be a huge success in every way especially for the designated Charities, who have benefited in a very significant way.
This year the designated Charity was the Irish Guide Dogs for the Blind. The format for the golf was a 4 Ball AM AM with a Shot-Gun start on Friday 18th June at 1.30 pm. The cost of a team was just 200 euro which included a BBQ steak dinner at the clubhouse. A great range of unusual and very valuable prizes were on offer compliments of JFC and a number of other sponsors.

In addition, there was a Fundraising “Dance at the Ard Ri House Hotel that night where Country and Western Band Stephen Smith & his band entertained the crowds. The 1st prize for the winners of the JFC Golf Charity event was a trip to St Andrews “The Home of Golf” sponsored by JFC.  For the Blind stated that they are extremely grateful to John Concannon and JFC for nominating Irish Guide Dogs, as their designated Charity for this years Golf charity event at Claremorris Golf Club. He also thanked all the various teams for taking part and the large number of generous sponsors. He paid tribute to Claremorris Golf Club for facilitating, JFC in hosting this special Charity event.
